How many days do I need in Şanlıurfa?

When is the best time to visit?

How far is Göbekli Tepe from the centre?
Roughly 15–20 minutes by car depending on traffic. Allow extra time for tickets and walking the site (about 2–3 hours on site).
How far is Harran?
About 40 km from the centre, typically under an hour by car. Half a day is enough for the main stops.
What should I eat?

How do I get to Şanlıurfa?
GAP Airport, the intercity bus station, or road links from Gaziantep, Mardin, Diyarbakır and Adıyaman. The old town is partly walkable; taxis and local buses cover longer hops.
Is one day enough for Göbekli Tepe and the old town?
Possible but tight in summer heat. Many visitors prefer Göbekli Tepe in the morning and the old town in the late afternoon.
